INFORMATION FOR TEST INSTITUTES

To access the hidden test modes of the PUREi8/RX8, PUREi9/RX9 and PUREi9.2/RX9.2 robot vacuum cleaners, please follow the instructions below.

IEC test mode 1 or 2

* Remove the dustbin and connect a micro USB cable to the robot´s USB port.

* Connect the cable to a computer, a file manager showing the robot´s mass storage device should appear.

* Copy an empty file named "IEC_StraightLine_Carpet" or "IEC_StraightLine_HardFloor" to the robot, depending on which test you want to perform.

* Disconnect the USB cable and the robot will place itself in test more, ready to start.

* Press Play to start the test, or longpress Play to cancel.

Toggle WiFi on/off

* Connect the robot to a computer via USB, as described above.

* Copy an empty file named “Enable_WiFi” or “Disable_WiFi” to the robot.

* Disconnect the USB cable and the robot will enable or disable WiFi, as ordered.

Turn the robot completely off

* Hold Play for about 5 s, until the robot has made three beeps. The display bar pulses in an “inward direction” until the robot has turned off.

NOTE:

Test modes on PUREi8/RX8, PUREi9/RX9 robots with software version 40 or older are accessed differently. Please follow the instructions below.

Here, "press" means to press a button for about 1 s, until the robot makes a beep. And "longpress" means to hold the button for about 2 s, until another beep is heard. (If the robot is muted, the times are the same, but there are no beeps.)

IEC test mode 1 or 2

* Longpress Home (the house symbol), then longpress ECO. The display shows "LAN".

* Press ECO. The display shows "test".

* Press Play. The display shows "t01".

* Press ECO to toggle between "t01" (test mode 1, carpet mode) and "t02" (test mode 2, hard floor mode), then press Play to select. The display shows "IEC1" or "IEC2".

* Press Play to start the test, or longpress Play to cancel.

Toggle WiFi on/off

* Longpress Home (the house symbol), then longpress ECO. The display shows "LAN".

* Press Play. The display shows "on".

* Press ECO to toggle between "on" and "off", then press Play to select.

Turn the robot completely off

* Hold Play for about 5 s, until the robot has made three beeps. The display shows "OFF" until the robot has turned off.
